Hannover 96 in disarray after voting in favour of DFL investor plan

According to Bild, Hannover 96 managing director Martin Kind is to be interrogated by other bosses at the club over the voting of the club in the investor meeting on Monday.

Hannover are one of the clubs to have voted in favour of the plan but it was made clear before the meeting that Hannover were to vote against the plan, it was when director Kind arrived in Frankfurt to represent the club that he decided to vote in favour.

The board of the club will now question Kind about his decision and they must find proof that Kind did vote yes as the voting was done in secret and the DFL have not released the results. If it becomes clear that Kind did vote yes, then he can be legally removed from the club.

Kind has played a financial role at Hannover since 1997 and even tried to gain an exemption from the 50+1 rule in 2017 but it was rejected by the DFL.
