Hamburg amongst a number of teams interested in MSV Duisburg’s Caspar Jander

Hamburg SV are a number of 2. Bundesliga clubs which are interested in MSV Duisburg starlet Caspar Jander, according to Florian Plettenberg

The 3. Liga side are struggling down the bottom of the table this season and haven’t had much to shout about. However, academy product Jander has been somewhat of a diamond in the rough over the past 18 months.

The central midfielder made his Germany U20 debut earlier this year and has been involved in every squad since.

The 20-year-old’s current contract runs out in June 2024, meaning he could leave Duisburg on a free transfer next summer. If this is the case, it will be a huge financial loss for Die Zebras and a bargain for whoever signs the promising talent.

Alongside HSV, Holstein Kiel and FC Nürnberg are also interested in Jander. As per the report, there are also a number of Bundesliga teams monitoring the situation, but no club was named.

Internal discussions are currently ongoing at Duisburg, who may feel they have to cash in this winter if they want to obtain a financial reward for Jander.
