Goalkeeper: Lukáš Hrádecký

Despite Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive display at the Allianz Arena, Hrádecký simply kept his side in the game against Bayern Munich with some outstanding saves. He made seven saves in total and there was nothing he could have done for the goals conceded.

Left Back: David Raum

Sealed the game for Leipzig with a great run to the back post and finish to make it 3-0. A consistent performer for Leipzig who provided himself as a great option again in attack and earned his clean sheet with his defensive solidarity.

Centre back: Mats Hummels

Despite conceding two, Hummels played a crucial part in Borussia Dortmund’s victory with two goals and his first being a powerful header into the bottom corner. He equals a Bundesliga record of scoring in 16 successive seasons.

Centre back: Ivan Ordets

Ordets was the outstanding defender in a Bochum side that earned themselves a well-earned point against Eintracht Frankfurt. The Ukrainian defender made three clearances, five interceptions and even won his side a penalty which resulted in the equaliser.

Right back: Joakim Mæhle

His first Bundesliga goal was a beauty. A stunning volley from the Danish international was the match winner for Wolfsburg. Additionally made three clearances, three interceptions and a block to complete a solid all-round performance.

Left Midfield: Jan-Niklas Beste

A very dangerous attacking display from Beste as he provided a goal, an assist and four key passes. Caused Bremen all sorts of problems with his range of passing and left goalkeeper Jiří Pavlenka with no chance of stopping his strike to seal the match.

Centre Midfield: Xavi Simons

Another seriously impressive performance from the 20-year-old. Simons contributed another goal and assist and was heavily involved in the third goal by carrying the ball high up the pitch to play in Poulsen who found Raum at the back post.

Centre Midfield: Florian Neuhaus

Came on at half time to try and turn Mönchengladbach’s fortunes around and was instrumental in their brilliant comeback. Scored to bring the game back to 3-2 before his side equalised five minutes later.

Right Midfield: Eren Dinkçi

Scored two crucial goals for Heidenheim to help them earn their first Bundesliga win with his first goal being a wonderful run and finish. Dinkçi is making crucial contributions for his side as he now has three goals in four games.

Striker: Serhou Guirassy

There were some obvious placements in this week’s team of the week however Guirassy has to be the first name included this week. A first hat-trick for the season for the Bundesliga top scorer with three elegant finishes. He now currently sits on eight goals in four games.

Striker: Loïs Openda

Set Leipzig on their way to a convincing victory with a great cross for Xavi Simons to open the scoring six minutes in. Then contributed with a goal of his own by taking Simons’ pass into his stride and slotting the ball home. Was crucial in Leipzig’s attacking output.
