Eintracht Frankfurt leading the race to sign Donny van de Beek

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Eintracht Frankfurt are leading the race to sign outcasted Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek on loan.

Talks between the two parties are advancing and the 26-year-old is expected to make his decision soon. LaLiga leaders Girona had also shown an interest in van de Beek but the conditions of the loan they were offering were different.

Where the midfielder will fit at Frankfurt is yet to be seen. His versatility means he can be used as a central midfielder and rotate with Hugo Larsson and Ellyes Skhiri or he can play further forward and can play alongside Mario Götze or Farès Chaïbi.

Frankfurt are seemingly looking to get business done early as it is reported that they are close to completing the signing of striker Rafiu Durosinmi to replace the departed Randal Kolo Muani.

Sky Germany also reports that Nürnberg defender Nathaniel Brown is set to join the club in the summer. Frankfurt will pay €3m and he will sign a contract until 2029 once he has completed his medical. Frankfurt’s next target will be Brown’s highly-rated teammate Can Uzun.
