Callum Hudson Odoi unlikely to stay at Bayer Leverkusen beyond the end of the season

The likelihood of Callum Hudson Odoi staying at Bayer Leverkusen is very low as the winger has already decided on his future reports Sky Germany

Hudson Odoi wishes to return to Chelsea in the summer and has not agreed on an extension of his loan or on an obligation to buy with Leverkusen.

However, due to the 22-year-old’s poor form in the Bundesliga, it is unknown whether Chelsea themselves will use the winger on his return, especially with their new winter acquisitions. Hudson Odoi’s contract at Chelsea expires in 2024.

Since he joined Leverkusen in the summer, Hudson Odoi has played 17 times for Leverkusen assisting once in the league and scoring once in the Champions League in their 2-2 draw against Atletico Madrid. In the new year, he has struggled, playing only 15 minutes in Leverkusen’s first game back before starting against Bochum but making very little impact.

Hudson Odoi had previously attracted interest from Bayern Munich, arriving in Leverkusen with high expectations to his name but so far he has failed to live up to them.
