Borussia Dortmund believe they can get a result against Chelsea

Speaking ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League game against Chelsea on Wednesday night, Edin Terzic senses that his players are up for the Round of 16 tie.

“I sense the boys not only believe in reaching the next round but are working hard for it,” said Terzic. “If we continue to consolidate the things that have worked well, we have a good chance of progressing.”

Karim Adeyemi is expected to return to the Borussia Dortmund starting XI after missing the last two games through injury. Terzic is also without Youssoufa Moukoko for the foreseeable future which means another start for Sébastien Haller.

Although Borussia Dortmund have won their six games across all competitions in 2023, Terzic is wary of the threat that Chelsea pose despite Graham Potter’s side sitting 10th in the Premier League.

Dortmund secured their place in the Round of 16 after finishing runners-up to Manchester City, and ahead of Sevilla and Copenhagen. Looking ahead of the game, Terzic stated that he expects a “cracking game” against Chelsea, but doesn’t believe that the tie will be settled on Wednesday.

Chelsea vs Borussia Dortmund takes place on March 7.
