Bayern Munich turn their attention to Randal Kolo Muani

Bayern Munich are turning their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani, according to Florian Plettenberg

Following the decision not to pursue West Ham United’s Declan Rice, Bayern are now fully focused on bringing in a top striker this summer. One of the main targets on the list is Kolo Muani.

The Frenchman has long been mentioned alongside several forwards when it comes to moving to Bayern in the summer. However, it now appears that the Bavarian club have chosen Kolo Muani as their number one target.

The 24-year-old had an impressive season with Frankfurt and helped fire them into the DFB Pokal final where they ultimately lost to RB Leipzig. In 41 competitive games, the striker scored 21 goals for the Eagles.

What’s more, Kolo Muani is willing to leave Eintracht Frankfurt this summer despite still being in contract. Frankfurt bosses have informed Bayern that a fee of around €70m-€80m will not be enough. Sporting director Markus Krösche wants at least €100m plus bonuses. The likelihood is that Kolo Muani will go for much less than €100m and closer to Bayern’s estimate.

The forward is also not planning on extending his contract with Frankfurt despite the salary increase. Frankfurt will now have to wait for possible approaches from Bayern.
