Bayern Munich reach agreement on fee for Tottenham’s Harry Kane

The Athletic reports that Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have reached an agreement on a transfer fee for striker Harry Kane.

The breakthrough in negotiations was made on Wednesday and the fee is said to be worth €100m but now the decision rests on Kane.

The 30-year-old has previously made it known that he wants a resolution to the situation before Tottenham begins their season against Brentford on Sunday, now that the two clubs have agreed a fee, Kane must decide to stay or leave Tottenham.

It is currently unclear what decision Kane will make. The 30-year-old has been enjoying his time under new Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou and has been leaning towards staying at the club.

If Kane does stay it is unknown whether he will sign a new contract at Tottenham. The striker’s contract expires next summer and there has been no progress made towards a new deal. If Kane does not extend his contract it is entirely possible that Bayern reignite their interest in the striker and try to sign him on a free transfer.
