Werder Bremen to sign Sarpreet Singh from Bayern Munich

Werder Bremen are preparing to announce their fourth signing of the season as attacking-midfielder Sarpreet Singh looks set to join the newly-promoted Bundesliga side from Bayern Munich for a reported €400k, according to Deich Stube

The 23-year-old New Zealand international never managed to become a regular with Bayern Munich’s first team.

After loan spells with Nürnberg and most recently Jahn Regensburg, Singh looks like he’s going to get his chance in the top flight with the North German side.

The forward featured 25 times in the 2. Bundesliga last season for Regensburg, scoring five goals and providing eight assists.

Bremen’s CEO Klaus Filbry hinted at the signing by saying: “We will announce another transfer shortly, this time in the offensive area. We have a very exciting, creative player who will come to us.”

Werder Bremen have signed Niklas Stark (Hertha Berlin), Amos Pieper (Arminia Bielefeld) and Dikeni Salifou (Augsburg) all on free transfers so far this summer.
