Wolfsburg to appoint Niko Kovač

Wolfsburg have appointed Niko Kovač as their new head coach, according to WAZ.

The 50-year-old was a candidate for both Hertha Berlin and Borussia Mönchengladbach but it appears the former Bayern Munich and most recently, AS Monaco coach will be unveiled in Wolfsburg.

This comes after Florian Kohfeldt left his position at the club one-year earlier than planned following the conclusion of the 2021/22 Bundesliga season.

All that remains, per the report, is an official announcement.

According to Kicker, Kovač will sign a three-year deal.
