Union Berlin are interested in signing Vitesse 23-year-old centre-back Danilho Doekhi when his contract expires in the summer but face competition from Rangers, according to De Telegraaf.
Union are on course to achieve European football for the second season in a row if they beat Bochum on the final day.
For this reason, the Berliners are already seeking to bolster their squad ahead of what will be another packed season.
Doekhi is a tall and talented defender, who despite his age, is already the captain of Vitesse.
