Thomas Müller “angry” after Bayern Munich’s third successive Bundesliga draw

Speaking after Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw against Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon, Thomas Müller revealed that he was “angry” at the Rekordmeister’s performance after suffering their third successive draw in the Bundesliga.

“Today I’m angry for the first time this season, angry at ourselves,” said Müller. “If we want to win every game, and that’s our aim, then we have to go until the end. It doesn’t matter if we have a big game in midweek. With out current situation, you have to give if your all until the end.”

Bayern Munich took the lead on two occasions through Mathys Tel and Jamal Musiala, but conceded a penalty in stoppage time which Stuttgart forward Serhou Guirassy converted.

Only Bayern’s superior goal difference keeps Julian Nagelsmann’s side top of the Bundesliga on Saturday evening but Freiburg play Borussia Mönchengladbach on Sunday evening and have a chance to reclaim top spot heading into the next round of European fixtures.

Julian Nagelsmann made several changes to Bayern’s starting XI with their Champions League game against Barcelona on Tuesday in mind. There was a first Bundesliga start for Tel, who is now Bayern’s youngest goalscorer in the league, and Noussair Mazraoui.
