Stuttgart’s Sven Mislintat confirms interest from Wolves in Saša Kalajdžić

Stuttgart Sporting Director Sven Mislintat has confirmed interest from Wolves in Austrian forward Saša Kalajdžić (25).

“There is initial interest from England, Wolves is one of them,” Mislintat told Sky Germany, via Kicker. “But it’s not really concrete at the moment, either on one side or the other.”

Earlier on Monday, Sky Germany reported exclusively that negotiations are ongoing between Wolves and Stuttgart for Kalajdžić, who has reached an agreement in principle to join the Premier League club.

Stuttgart want around €25m including bonuses for Kalajdžić, who has entered the final year of his contract, whilst Wolves want to finalise a deal in the coming days.

Should Kalajdžić leave Stuttgart, they will target Bayern Munich forward Joshua Zirkzee (21), a player who they’ve shown previous interest in. However, VfB face competition from Newcastle United, Borussia Mönchengladbach and Anderlecht among others to sign the Dutchman.

Bayern Munich would also be willing to sell Zirkzee this summer with one-year remaining on his current deal. The Dutch youth international spent last season on loan at Anderlecht, scoring 18 and creating 13 across 47 games in all competitions.
