Serge Gnabry could face consequences if he remains at Bayern Munich without extending his contract

Kicker report this evening that Serge Gnabry could face consequences if he remains at Bayern Munich without signing a new deal as he enters the final year of his contract.

The 26-year-old has an offer from Bayern and would like to remain at the club, but wants a significant pay rise. Gnabry is expected to make a decision on his future when he returns from vacation.

Per the report, if Gnabry decides against a contract extension and a departure in the summer, the Germany international could spend the season in the stands, similar to the situation of Felix Göttlicher at SpVgg Unterhaching.

Gnabry is relaxed about his current contract situation but also has interest from Manchester United. As Georg Holzner reports, if Gnabry was consigned to the stands and Bayern Munich lost, there would be outcry among the Bayern fans.

During his first season under Julian Nagelsmann, Gnabry scored 14 and created six in 34 Bundesliga games.
