Speaking to WAZ, Schalke’s director of sport Peter Knäbel spoke about their plans for this coming winter transfer window.

On the issue, Knäbel said: “We are striving for a solution with the player. But we have not finally completed the discussions.”
Finally, there will be a new contract for Soichiro Kozuki who has impressed for Schalke II in the Regionalliga West.
Schalke currently find themselves four points adrift at the bottom of the Bundesliga with only two wins all season, whilst also being on their second coach in Thomas Reis. Schalke restarts their season against an inform Eintracht Frankfurt team on January 21st.
