Saša Kalajdžić in talks with Stuttgart regarding future

Speaking to Sky Germany, Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat remains relaxed that Saša Kalajdžić will remain at the Bundesliga club next season despite interest from the Premier League.

“There are no offers,” said Mislintat. “[There’s] always three options: you sell, you extend or let the contract expire if there are no offers that make sense to accept them. We are in excellent talks with Saša about his situation. And for me it’s always important when they are there, that they give their all and he does that, you can see that in every training session.”

Kalajdžić (25) has 12 months remaining on his current deal and despite earlier interest from both Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund, neither Bundesliga side remain interested in signing the Austrian striker.

It was reported earlier this week that Premier League side Manchester United have held initial discussions with representatives of Kalajdžić but so far, nothing has come of it. Fellow Premier League sides West Ham United, Southampton and Brighton have also shown an interest.

Kalajdžić scored six and created two in 15 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart last season.
