Sadio Mané to Bayern Munich – the situation

As reported exclusively by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany over two weeks ago, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić wants to sign Liverpool forward Sadio Mané.

Today, it’s reported that Mané isn’t as expensive as initially expected, a fee lower than €50m whilst a salary between €12m and €15m has been discussed – a fee that’s payable for Bayern Munich.

The Bundesliga champions remain positive that they will sign Mané this summer, the Senegalese forward will make a decision after Liverpool’s Champions League final against Real Madrid on Saturday night.

Bild reported last night that Mané is looking for a new challenge but also has interest from PSG whilst L’Équipe report that the 30-year-old is close to joining Bayern Munich with just one year remaining on his current Liverpool contract.

Mané has scored 120 goals and created 48 in 268 games in all appearances for Liverpool since joining in 2016.
