RB Leipzig want to keep Konrad Laimer amid interest from Bayern Munich and Liverpool

Speaking to ServusTV, RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff reiterates that he wants to keep 24-year-old midfielder Konrad Laimer at the club despite interest from Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Manchester United.

“Of course, we want to keep him,” said Mintzlaff. “He’s one of the top six in the Bundesliga and played a fantastic second-half of the season. He fits perfectly with out club and our DNA and his skills are almost unique in Germany.”

Laimer is entering the final year of his contract but could yet sign an extension. The Austria international was important to RB Leipzig’s DFB Pokal run, as well as helping to clinch a place in next season’s Champions League.
