Premier League scouts watch Ansgar Knauff

As reported by Sport1, Premier League scouts have watched Eintracht Frankfurt’s Ansgar Knauff. On loan from Borussia Dortmund, the German youth international was scouted against Wolfsburg and Marseille and has impressed in a new role following the departure of Filip Kostić.

Knauff has a contract with Borussia Dortmund until 2024 and head coach Edin Terzić has also monitored the player’s development at SGE. An estimated market value of €10m, it’s unlikely that Eintracht will be able to purchase Knauff on a permanent basis.

An arrival in Hessen from Borussia Dortmund last summer, Knauff has played 30 games across all competitions, scoring three and creating three. Although primarily an attacking player, the 20-year-old was deployed at right-back against Wolfsburg and Sporting CP.

Knauff was also named as the 2021/22 UEFA Europa League Young Player of the Season following Eintracht’s victory against Rangers in Seville, and has also been nominated for the Golden Boy Award.
