Predicted Eintracht Frankfurt and Borussia Dortmund starting XIs

Borussia Dortmund will be seeking to go above Eintracht Frankfurt and into fourth with an away win on Saturday afternoon. However, Oliver Glasner’s Eagles are in tip-top form right now having won their previous four matches in all competitions including a 5-1 hammering of Bayer Leverkusen.

Frankfurt is a tough place to go at the minute. Despite a rocky start, Glasner’s men are in the top four, through to the third round of the DFB Pokal, and just a win away from qualifying to the next round of the Champions League.

In terms of team news, Frankfurt are still without Ansgar Knauff, Aurelio Buta and Makoto Hasebe. However, Tuta will most likely return to Die Adler’s back three having served a European suspension in the week.

More backup comes in the form of Jérôme Onguéné who returned against Marseille in midweek. Luca Pellegrini could also be in the starting XI having replaced Christopher Lenz at half-time who suffered a knee injury.

For Dortmund, they come into this one off the back of a decent 0-0 performance against Manchester City (they had goalkeeper Gregor Kobel to thank for that). The injury list remains long for the away side who are still without Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Mahmoud Dahoud, Sébastien Haller, Thomas Meunier and Mateu Morey. What’s more, club captain Marco Reus may not be risked as he aims to get back to full fitness

Head coach Edin Terzić will also be without Raphaël Guerreiro which could mean another start at left-back for Thorgan Hazard against Manchester City. Salih Özcan could also return to the starting XI having served a one-match ban.

Predicted lineups

Eintracht Frankfurt: Trapp – Tuta, Jakić, Ndicka – Ebimbe, Kamada, Sow, Pellegrini – Lindstrøm, Götze – Kolo Muani.

Borussia Dortmund: Kobel – Süle, Hummels, Schlotterbeck, Hazard – Özcan, Bellingham – Adeyemi, Brandt, Malen – Moukoko.
