PLAYER RATINGS | Hertha Berlin 2-3 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich beat Hertha Berlin 3-2 at the Olympiastadion with a win that sees Bayern go top again. Jamal Musiala opened the scoring for Bayern in the 12th minute. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting would double Bayern’s lead in the 37th minute before scoring again only a minute later. Just before half-time, Dodi Lukebakio grabbed a goal back for Hertha before a VAR check also awarded them a penalty which was converted by Davie Selke.

The second half proved to be rather uneventful with Bayern having a goal ruled out for offside. Bayern are now two points ahead of Union Berlin who play Bayer Leverkusen on Sunday. Hertha finds themselves 14th and two points above the relegation play off.

Lucas Tousart: 6

Suat Serdar: 6

Jean Paul Boetius: 6

Davie Selke: 6

Dodi Lukebakio: 7 – Shown once again why he has been one of Hertha’s best players this season. Since a poor season on loan at Wolfsburg last season, he has turned it around and currently has 6 goals this season.

Bayern Munich – 3 (Musiala, Choupo-Moting, 2)

Manuel Neuer: 7- In his first game back after injury, the goalkeeper made some key saves to keep out Hertha.

Noussair Mazraoui: 6

Benjamin Pavard: 6

Dayot Upamecano: 6

Alphonso Davies: 6

Joshua Kimmich: 7

Leon Goretzka: 6

Serge Gnabry: 5

Jamal Musiala: 8 – Once again key to Bayern’s attack. The recent absence of Thomas Müller has allowed Musiala to continue to shine and prove his importance to the team.

Sadio Mané: 7

Eric Maxim-Choupo Moting: 9 – Two goals for the striker continues his incredible recent form. Once only a bench player for Bayern, Choupo-Moting has suddenly turned into one of their standout players and doesn’t look like stopping anytime soon.
