Bundesliga side Union Berlin have today announced the signing of 23-year-old central-defender Danilho Doekhi from Vitesse on a three-year contract.
The Dutchman joins on a free transfer after his contract with Vitesse expired. Doekhi played 28 Eredivisie games this season and was given the captain’s armband.
“With the move to the Bundesliga, I want to take the next step in my career. Union is a huge opportunity for me and I want to take the club forward on its way. In the conversations, I also gained the feeling that I can continue to improve here. I’ve also heard a lot about the stadium and the atmosphere here, and I’m especially looking forward to it,” said Doekhi.
