Bayer Leverkusen have announced the departure of 25-year-old Germany international midfielder Nadiem Amiri on loan to Serie A side Genoa for the remainder of the season.
“Recently Nadiem didn’t get the playing time that he promised himself,” said sporting director Simon Rolfes. “So we understand his transfer ambitions and wish him every success in Serie A.”
Although no official confirmation, Kicker report that Genoa will have an obligation to buy Amiri should they remain in the top flight. Genoa currently sit 19th, five points from absolute safety.
