Holstein Kiel have announced the signing of Jann-Fiete Arp on a free transfer from Bayern Munich.

The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract until 2024 with the 2. Bundesliga club.

Arp spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Holstein Kiel, scoring three in 25 games.

“I felt incredibly comfortable here,” Arp told the club’s website. “So it wasn’t a difficult decision for me to continue down this path. The talks with those responsible in the club and with the coaching staff have encouraged me that this is the step is the right one at this point. I’m very grateful that everyone made this possible and I’m now looking forward to a great season.”

Arp impressed for Hamburg’s youth team before making the step up to the first team, playing 38 games. His performances earned the German youth international a move to Bayern Munich in 2019 for €3m, but played just 13 minutes for the first team.
