Speaking ahead of Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen, sporting director Max Eberl hasn’t ruled out that both Denis Zakaria and Matthias Ginter could leave the club this month.
“It’s not surprising that there’s a lot of speculation around Denis Zakaria and Matthias Ginter at the moment,” said Eberl. “However, there haven’t been any concrete offers for either of them. From our side, we know where things stand with them.
“Both are currently our players and still have six months left on their contracts. However, we have always said that if we were to receive a substantial financial offer over the winter that we wouldn’t rule them out leaving the club.”
Reports suggest that Inter Milan are interested in signing Ginter whilst interest in Zakaria has come from Manchester United.
