Bundesliga side Mainz 05 are in negotiations to sign 23-year-old Japan international Ritsu Doan from PSV Eindhoven, according to Bild.
Negotiations are ongoing with representatives of M05 having already held talks with the Eredivisie club and the entourage of Doan, who spent last season on loan at Arminia Bielefeld.
Mainz had already shown previous interest in signing the Japanese attacking-midfielder last summer but failed in their attempt, with the Bundesliga club again showing their interest.
Doan has played 22 games for PSV this season, scoring seven and creating one.
