As reported by Ruhr Nachrichten, Lutsharel Geertruida is not a hot topic at Borussia Dortmund as they look to improve the right-back position with Thomas Meunier potentially leaving.
Gerrtruida’s contract at Feyenoord expires in the summer of 2024, however, the rumour first produced by 1908.nl has been shut down by RN. There has been no concrete interest from Dortmund in the right-back and he has not been as of interest in Dortmund now or even in the summer. The club had been offered the right-back, but went no further than that.
Dortmund are clearly looking at improving their defence once again after the acquisitions of Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck last summer, they are now focusing on the full-back position. This comes after they have been linked with Ramy Bensebaini of Borussia Mönchengladbach at left-back, and the rumours of Thomas Meunier also potentially leaving the club.
Meunier has been relatively underwhelming since his move from PSG in 2020. The Belgian has played 73 games for Dortmund and scored three times and as of late has even lost the right-back position to Süle who is not a natural in that position.
