Leeds United to make opening offer for RB Leipzig’s Tyler Adams

Tyler Adams looks set to leave RB Leipzig with Leeds United leading the race for the youngster’s signature.

According to Sky Germany, the Premier League club are readying an offer in the region of €15m for the US international with negotiations ongoing between the two clubs. The defensive-midfielder is Marsch’s preferred candidate for the position and negotiations regarding personal terms have already taken place.

Fellow American Marsch is looking to bolster his midfield options having already signed Marc Roca and Brendon Aaronson – particularly with fan-favourite Kalvin Phillips heading to Manchester City.

RB Leipzig seem willing to sell the American in an attempt to cut down on squad size, despite Adams still having three years remaining on his contract. Though with Konrad Laimer perhaps on his way to Bayern Munich, Leipzig’s midfield options would appear to be quickly thinning, with Adams’ likely departure adding to this.

However, RB Leipzig will themselves seek to be busy in the transfer market, with heightened interest in signing Alex Král from Spartak Moscow as a potential replacement having been heavily reported, for if Laimer and Adams do depart.
