Kevin Schade to remain at Freiburg despite lucrative offers from the Premier League

Despite lucrative offers from the Premier League German youth international Kevin Schade (20) is expected to remain at Freiburg this season, according to Kicker.

For much of the summer, Brentford have courted Schade but Freiburg have rebuffed their approach. Even an offer totalling more than €20m hasn’t tempted SCF into selling the Germany U21 international – Christian Streich’s side remain strong on their stance that he’s not for sale.

Freiburg may reconsider their stance if they receive an exceptionally high offer but as of Wednesday evening Schade, who only extended his contract until 2026 in November, will remain at the club. Given the increased amount of Englischen Wochen (midweek games) because of the 2022 World Cup and with Freiburg’s entry into this season’s Europa League, Streich wants to keep his 28-man squad intact.

Roland Sallai, who has impressed for Freiburg in the last 12 months, is also expected to remain at the club unless they receive a substantial offer for the Hungarian.
