Interest from England and Italy for Saša Kalajdžić but nothing concrete as of yet

Kicker have cited Italian sources reporting that AS Roma are interested in signing Saša Kalajdžić but are unwilling to pay Stuttgart’s asking price.

The Bundesliga side want around €25m for the Austria international, who is entering the final year of his contract, but Roma believe Kalajdžić is only worth around €15m.

Premier League duo West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in signing Kalajdžić, who could yet sign a contract extension at Stuttgart with his current deal expiring in 2023.

There’s a clear agreement that Saša will not leave the club on a free transfer next year. So I’m assuming that if he doesn’t move, then he’ll extend the contract,” Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle told Sky Germany.

Talks between representatives of Kalajdžić and Bayern Munich also took place but there was no offer from the Bundesliga champions as they prepare for the potential departure of Robert Lewandowski.

Kalajdžić missed much of last season through injury but scored six and created two in 15 Bundesliga games for Stuttgart, adding to his 16 goals and six assists in 2020/21.
