Gladbach open to Hannes Wolf departure

Speaking at a presser on Tuesday, Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl has hinted that 22-year-old midfielder Hannes Wolf could leave the club this January.

“It could be that something happens with him in the next few days. Whether that be a loan or permanent sale, we’ll have to see,” said Eberl.

Per Kicker, Rapid Wien, Celtic and Trabzonspor have all shown interest in signing the Austrian, who has played just seven Bundesliga games this season.

Wolf has a contract with Gladbach until 2024 after joining on a permanent last summer following a successful loan spell from RB Leipzig, but he doesn’t appear to be in Adi Hütter’s immediate plans.
