Borussia Dortmund today confirm that Gio Reyna is out for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old sustained a muscular and tendon injury and was substituted two minutes into Borussia Dortmund’s 2-0 win against Stuttgart on Friday evening. This is Reyna’s third injury setback this season.
Speaking after BVB’s win, head coach Marco Rose said: “It’s a bitter one. Such a super lad who has the potential to be world class. We will support him to get fit and stable again. Gio will walk this path with us.”
Reyna has managed just 440 minutes of Bundesliga football this season.
