Filip Kostić seriously considering West Ham move

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Filip Kostić is seriously considering West Ham United’s offer, according to Bild. The 29-year-old would fulfil his dream of playing Champions League football at Eintracht following their Europa League win but West Ham would be able to offer the Serbian a higher salary, who would have to make do with the Europa Conference League.

West Ham are the first club to make an offer worth considering for Kostić, who has been linked with a move from Eintracht continuously over the last three seasons. Italian side Lazio submitted an offer last summer, but it didn’t meet SGE’s valuation whilst Juventus reached an agreement with Kostić last month, but hadn’t submitted an offer to the Bundesliga club and instead signed Ángel Di María.

Kostić is yet to respond to Eintracht’s latest three-year offer for a contract extension but speaking earlier this month, sporting director Markus Krösche did state that he assumes the Serbia international would remain at the Bundesliga club beyond the summer.

But that could now change with West Ham’s interest. Fabrizio Romano reported that the Premier League club had submitted an opening offer to Eintracht for Kostić.
