DFB fine Kerem Demirbay €10,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct

The German Football Association (DFB) have fined Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kerem Demirbay €10,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct following his comments made towards referee Felix Brych.

After being shown a yellow card vs Wolfsburg, Demirbay told ARD in a post-match interview: “The referee gets on my nerves. It’s crazy. I hope that he doesn’t whistle for us so often in the future.”

Per the DFB statement, Bayer Leverkusen have agreed to the verdict, meaning it’s final.
