Kicker have today cited Japanese reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested in signing Ko Itakura.
The 25-year-old Japan international spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Schalke from Manchester City.
The German outlet cite Sponichi, who suggest that Itakrua would be available for around €6m and that contact has already been made. However, with no head coach yet appointed, it’s unlikely that this deal would be completed any time soon.
Itakura is entering the final year of his contract at the Premier League club.
