Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus “delighted” at the reintroduction of standing terraces in European football

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Champions League opener against Copenhagen, Marco Reus (33) opened up about the reintroduction of BVB’s famous Yellow Wall after UEFA decided to reintroduce standing terraces in the competition, a boost for clubs such as Die Schwarzgelben.

When asked what the famous Südtribüne will bring to the Champions League, Reus said: “The Yellow Wall will make a difference. We know it from the Bundesliga, but our international opponents don’t know it yet. We’re all hugely delighted the whole Yellow Wall will be there. Hopefully it’ll be a spectacle.”

Edin Terzić added: “In recent years, we’ve had some great moments at home in European competitions. Now we will have the full Yellow Wall there. We’re delighted that as many spectators as possible will come to support us.”

Borussia Dortmund come into their Champions League clash against Danish champions Copenhagen on the back of successive 1-0 wins against Hertha Berlin and Hoffenheim.
