Borussia Dortmund without Marco Reus against Bayern Munich

Speaking at a press conference ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga game against Bayern Munich on Saturday evening, Edin Terzić has confirmed that they will be without Marco Reus.

“He’s been ill this week and has not been able to take the steps in his rehabilitation that we’d hoped for. That means he has now not been able to train with the team for almost three weeks,” said Terzić.

There is some good news though. Gio Reyna has returned to the squad following a muscular injury and could make a substitute appearance. Gregor Kobel also returns to the squad but is unlikely to start ahead of Alexander Meyer.

“Gregor remains our No. 1, but it only makes sense to play him when he’s at 100%. Everyone has seen Alex Meyer’s performances. We will have a really good player in goal for us tomorrow, and we’ll need one,” added Terzić.

Mats Hummels could also make a return after a cold has kept him out of BVB’s last two games. When Hummels has played, BVB have only conceded one Bundesliga goal in 512 minutes. Without him, eight goals in 208 minutes.
