Benfica and Everton interested in Hoffenheim’s Dennis Geiger

As reported by Sky Germanythere are a host of clubs interested in Hoffenheim midfielder Dennis Geiger. The 24-year-old’s contract expires as the end of the season. 

The named clubs that have an interest in Geiger are Benfica and Everton whilst there are also Bundesliga teams showing interest in him but remain unnamed. Sky are also reporting that Geiger is leaning towards leaving Hoffenheim when his contract expires but can also imagine a contract extension at the club. If Geiger chooses to move to Benfica, he has the opportunity to join up with German coach Roger Schmidt as well as Julian Draxler. 

This season, Geiger has played in 14 out of 15 games in the Bundesliga this season and has scored one and created two. After a strong start to the season, Hoffenheim currently finds themselves 11th in the table and finished the season on a five-match winless run in the league.
