According to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich have reignited their pursuit in the signing of Konrad Laimer and join the race with other Bundesliga and Premier League outfits.
Konrad Laimer is having an excellent season with RB Leipzig and is attracting the attention of several top European clubs.
However, Sport Bild have revealed that Bayern were keen on the 24-year-old’s signature last summer.
When asked about the rumours last year the midfielder said: “I stayed in Leipzig. There wasn’t a change, it’s been over for a long time.”
Laimer’s contract is due to run out in 2023 and it’s still unsure whether the Austrian international will sign an extension or not.
This uncertainty has once again got the attention of Bayern as well as Borussia Dortmund and several Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
When asked what has to be right for the player when making his decision, Laimer explained: “I need a good feeling. I have to like what people tell me. It’s all about the plan with me and the team, of course also about goals.”
