Barcelona to submit new bid to Bayern Munich for Robert Lewandowski

Bayern Munich are awaiting a final offer from Barcelona for Robert Lewandowski, according to Sky Germany. The Bundesliga side are expecting an offer this week with both clubs wanting clarity on the player’s future in the next few days, ideally before their respective US tours.

Lewandowski returned to training at Bayern’s Säbener Straße HQ this week but was six minutes late to his first session, with his body language evident he wants to leave. As reported by Sport1, Lewandowski is growing frustrated and felt that Barcelona’s latest offer of €40m plus bonuses was more than fair. Bayern’s valuation for the forward is around €50m.

The 33-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and nearing 34, doesn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to sign a three-year contract with Barcelona.

Bayern Munich are already preparing for the eventual departure of Lewandowski but on this summer’s market, have been unable to find a replacement for the Poland international.
