Amine Harit released from Schalke training to undergo transfer talks

As reported by Andreas Ernst of FUNKE Sport, Schalke’s Amine Harit (25) has been released from training to undergo negotiations ahead of a departure before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

Whilst no club was mentioned, BILD report that Premier League side Leicester City are the latest club to shown an interest in signing the Moroccan, who spent last season on loan at Ligue 1 side Marseille where he scored five and created four across 34 games in all competitions.

In July, Galatasaray submitted an opening offer of €5m to Schalke for Harit, who has two-years remaining on his current deal. S04 were holding out for a fee closer to €10m but given the Morocco international is one of the club’s highest earners and doesn’t feature in Frank Kramer’s plans, the newly-promoted Bundesliga side may be open to selling Harit for less than their desired valuation.

Joining Schalke from Nantes in 2017 for €8m, Harit has played 118 games in all competitions, scoring 13 and creating 23.
