Bayer Leverkusen left-back Wendell (28) is close to joining Portuguese side Porto for a reported fee of around €4 million, according to Kicker.
The Brazilian signed a contract extension with the Bundesliga side until 2022 last summer to prevent him leaving on a free transfer this summer, with B04 now expected to pick up a minimal fee – Kicker suggest a departure was indicated last summer.
Bayer Leverkusen have Daley Sinkgraven at left-back and have also signed Mitchel Bakker from Paris Saint-Germain for €7 million.
Wendell joined B04 in 2014 and had become a mainstay in the side, playing 250 games in all competitions, assisting 18 from left-back.
