Speaking to media at his unveiling, 24-year-old Eintracht Frankfurt forward Sam Lammers discussed his goals and his decision to leave Serie A side Atalanta.
“My situation in Bergamo wasn’t ideal,” said Lammers. “I didn’t play as much as I wanted. [I wanted to leave in the winter] but that wasn’t an option for the club.
“I’ve learned a lot in the past few years but my goal now is to play a full season. I’m a technically good striker who can shoot with both feet. With my height, I should score more goals with my head, I’m trying to improve that.
“Frankfurt is a big club. We want to play good, attacking football. As a striker, I fit in very well here.”
The Dutchman has joined Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan and could make his Bundesliga debut against Stuttgart on Sunday.
