Official | Maxence Lacroix extends Wolfsburg deal until 2025

Wolfsburg have today announced the contract extension of 21-year-old central defender Maxence Lacroix by a further year until 2025.

“Maxence developed brilliantly last season, which is why we’re pleased that we can continue to pursue our goals together,” said Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer.

Lacroix added: “I’m very pleased to have extended my contract. I’m really settled in Wolfsburg and still have big plans. It’s fun to play in this team and I’m looking forward to improving together and being successful.”

The Frenchman joined from Sochaux last summer for a reported €5 million and has played 45 games in all competitions for Wolfsburg. He was integral into VfL finishing fourth and returning to the Champions League.

Wolfsburg had also turned down an approach from RB Leipzig in the summer.
