Di Marzio reports that Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo is on the verge of joining Spanish side Villarreal.
As reported throughout the summer, the entourage of the Croatia international have been working hard on a move away from Wolfsburg, who have set an asking price of around €15m.
Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer also confirmed earlier in the month that Brekalo had expressed his desire to leave the Bundesliga side.
Brekalo has two years remaining on his current deal with Wolfsburg and had also been courted by Serie A side Napoli, with Italy at one point being the likely destination of the 23-year-old.
