Speaking after RB Leipzig’s 4-0 win against Stuttgart, head coach Jesse Marsch discussed the team’s reaction following an opening day defeat at Mainz and the performance of Emil Forsberg and Dominik Szoboszlai.
“It was a superb reaction to the loss in Mainz. We were very aggressive with and without the ball. It really was a great performance from us. But it’s still the beginning of the season and we have to stay humble,” said Marsch.
“Emil Forsberg and Dominik Szoboszlai are both great players and great guys. After the Mainz game, we talked a lot about what we could do to improve. We needed more energy and commitment. Szobo and Emil said, ‘no problem, we’ll take that on together.’ Emil is a super role model. He played very well and Szobo is a young player with a lot of potential. I know him very well. He works hard every day and gives a lot to the group.”
