According to Bild, French champions Lille are readying an approach for 19-year-old Belgian central midfielder Amadou Onana from 2. Bundesliga side Hamburg.
The report suggests that Lille are offering around €6m but HSV are holding out for a fee closer to €9m with a sell-on clause included in the deal.
Abendblatt, a daily newspaper in Hamburg, reported earlier that after four years abroad, Onana wants to be closer to his mother whilst Lille’s participation in the Champions League is also appealing for the youngster.
Per Hamburger Morgenpost, HSV bosses have made it clear: Onana will not leave for a fee lower than their valuation but it is known that the Belgian would like to leave the club.
