Bundesliga side Hoffenheim continue to show interest in signing 21-year-old central defender Chris Richards from Bayern Munich after a successful loan spell, according to Kicker.
However, the US international is needed at Bayern Munich due to defensive injuries, but joining Hoffenheim on a permanent basis or another loan spell remains an option this summer.
Richards has a contract with Bayern until 2023 but spent the last six months on loan at Hoffenheim, where he played 11 Bundesliga games.
TSG head coach Sebastian Hoeneß has a good relationship with Bayern Munich and remains in the market for a central defender with Richards on their shortlist.
