Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin are in negotiations to sign 21-year-old Dutch midfielder Jurgen Ekkelenkamp from Ajax, according to Bild.
Ekkelenkamp has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and so Ajax risk losing the Dutchman on a free transfer next summer if they don’t tie him down to a new contract.
Able to operate in attacking and central midfield, Ekkelenkamp played 15 games in the Eredivisie last season, scoring three and creating two.
