FC Köln have today announced the signing of 21-year-old central defender Luca Kilian on loan from fellow Bundesliga side Mainz 05.
Kilian played under new FC head coach Steffen Baumgart during their time together at Paderborn before the German defender switched to Mainz in last summer.
“Luca is a very talented central defender, he is quick and strong. We worked together successfully in Paderborn. I’m happy to have him here and to develop him further at FC,” said Baumgart.
